Earlier today (3rd May), the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) have released two Helpline Numbers for assistance related to Goods Transportation:
1930 – This helpline number is for the benefit of Drivers / Transporters to lodge any complaint pertaining to transportation of goods. Support on following issues may be obtained upon calling this helpline:
- passage of empty / loaded trucks
- inter-state movement of trucks
- movement of drivers and cleaners from their residence to and fro to the truck parking area
- Any issue related to passage of goods
1033 – This is a NHAI Helpline Number – transporters/drivers can call here for National Highway related grievances.
You can find the link to the Press Release for these Helpline Numbers here: https://pib.gov.in/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=1620617.
The Union Government would be utilizing the Control Room of MHA for resolving these complaints – officers of the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) are being deputed in the MHA Control Room for this purpose.
WheelsEye had informed on its portal three days back (https://help.wheelseye.com/en/posts/2888/) that Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari had announced that such a Helpline Number would be started soon. We would advise truck-owners and drivers to call on these Helpline Numbers (1930 & 1033) for any transport-related issues. From tomorrow onwards (4th May), we can expect to see Industrial Activity revive in 603 out of 733 districts of India – this could be beneficial for trucking as well – https://help.wheelseye.com/en/posts/2976/.
